11/22: Lakers beat the Warriors (sans Steph Curry) on Friday, 102-95. Pau Gasol led the team with 24 points and 10 rebounds, and donated $24,000 to aid the UNICEF effort in the Philippines after pledging $1,000 for every point he scored.
Nick Young added 21 points, and Jordan Farmar and Steve Blake each scored 14. Jordan Hill finished one rebound away from a double-double, putting up 10 pts and 9 boards.
11/24: Lakers beat the Kings 100-86 to bring their season record to 7-7. Not bad considering they’ve had the 3rd toughest schedule in the NBA thus far.
Xavier Henry had 21 points (7-11), 12 of those coming in the 4th quarter. It was only the second time this season he’s made more than half of his shots. Steve Blake finished with 9 points and 12 assists, and has had double-digit assists in each of his last five games while filling in for Steve Nash as the starting pg.
The Kings only scored 61 points through the first 3 quarters, which was a season low for a Lakers opponent. They play Washington next on Tuesday.
